Located roughly halfway between Baltimore and Philadelphia, the city of Aberdeen, MD, is close to excellent malls and retail centers where you can find brands from all over the world. 1. White Marsh Mall
Established in 1981 and covering a total retail floor area of over 1,200,000 square feet, White Marsh Mall is one of the largest and most visited retail centers in region, attracting shoppers from Aberdeen and other nearby towns and cities. Owned and managed by Brookfield Properties, this large mall features 134 different shops and services, with anchor stores including JCPenney, Dave & Buster’s, Boscov’s, and Macy’s Home Store.
White Marsh Mall is located right off Interstate 95 and a little over 20 miles southwest of downtown Aberdeen, making it possible to reach it by car in less than 30 minutes. Some of the brands you can find here include Aéropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body Works, Foot Locker, Forever 21, H&M, Hollister, Macy’s, and rue21. The mall also features a wide variety of dining options, such as Red Robin, Popeye’s, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, and Olive Garden.
2. Christiana Mall
Christiana Mall is another popular destination for shoppers from Aberdeen and other nearby towns and cities. It features almost 180 stores and services spread across a total retail floor area of over 1,200,000 square feet. Considered the largest mall in the state of Delaware, this retail center opened its doors in 1978 and is always full of visitors looking for the best deals in the area. Getting here from the Aberdeen city center takes about half an hour by car.
Anchored by JCPenney, Target, Barnes & Noble, Nordstrom, and Macy’s, this mall is also owned and managed by Brookfield Properties. Other popular brands that can be found here include Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, Apple, GAP, The Body Shop, Cabela’s, Coach, Forever 21, Lush, Michael Kors, and H&M. The dining options at Christiana Mall are equally varied, with restaurants including Sbarro, Popeye’s, Five Guys, Cinnabon, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, and The Cheesecake Factory.
3. Townson Town Center
Located a little over 30 miles west of downtown Aberdeen, in the northern outskirts of Baltimore, Townson Town Center is a large retail center featuring 192 stores and services spread across a total retail floor area of over 1,000,000 square feet. Established in 1959, it was the largest mall in the state of Maryland until the inauguration of Arundel Mills in the late 2000s. Some brands you can find here include Aldo, American Eagle, Coach, Forever 21, H&M, and Lacoste.
