Jeep had already perfected off-road performance in the Wrangler. But with the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, they have brought new levels of ergonomic dynamism and up-to-the-moment technology. We took a look at the latest model in more detail to learn more about the Wrangler’s larger and four-doored variant.

Appearance

The epitome of an adventure vehicle, the latest incarnation of the Wrangler really evokes the spirit of off-roading. The original design may stem from a World War II vehicle, but Jeep has continued to evolve the shape of the vehicle to continually improve comfort for both passengers and driver.

The car now features beautiful detailing on the fenders, along with improved taillights and headlights which give a sleek look and poised stance. Inside the cabin, you will love the high-tech dashboard, easy-to-use console, and a new lower dashboard to maximize the driver’s vision.

Under the Hood

Jeep have equipped the standard model with a 285 horsepower 3.6l V6 engine. You can choose to take that with a manual 6-speed gearbox or upgrade to the 8-speed automatic transmission system which gives a beautifully easy shift.

You may also like to upgrade with the 4-cylinder turbocharged powertrain with an electric motor for additional power at the low end. If this hybrid does not appeal to you, then equip your Wrangler with a 375 horsepower hybrid 4xe engine, which is a nippy 3.0-liter diesel V6.

On the Road

The standard engine will give you all of the power you might need. There is a range of features to facilitate an enjoyable off-road ride. Look out for the benefits of full-time all-wheel drive and locking differentials, plus skid plates and a transfer case.

The Wrangler is more than equipped to handle anything you can throw at it. In addition, the 2-door Wrangler can tow up to 2000lbs, while the 4-door Unlimited trim offers a towing capacity of up to an incredible 3500lbs.

Driver Experience

The rugged character of the Jeep’s military heritage is still clearly visible in the cabin, but with fantastic details that give it a contemporary finish. The dashboard features characteristic round air vents, a simple to operate climate control system alongside easy access to all the infotainment you might need on a long journey.

Capacity

Seat four or five people in your Wrangler 2021, depending on whether you opt for the two-door Wrangler or four-door Wrangler Unlimited model. Either way, you’ll find that there are no issues with head or foot room in the spacious cabin. The seats have been designed to robustly support your frame, bringing comfort to even the longest road trip.

Meanwhile, you will love the 31.7 cubic feet of space in the trunk of the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited. You can also fold the rear seats away and more than double that capacity with barely a moment’s effort. There is even an underfloor compartment if you need yet more space on the fly.

Enjoy a classic Jeep shape with contemporary detailing and modern features. This vehicle is great to drive and has really nailed the off-road experience, with all of the handling you would expect from Jeep’s formidable engineering team.
