When you’re hankering for the best Mexican food you can find, we’re happy to point you in the right direction while you’re visiting Aberdeen, MD. And if you love seafood in your tacos and burritos, you’re in the right location, here near the Chesapeake Bay! We’ve compiled a list of 5 of our favorite restaurants that we know you’ll enjoy.

1. Bocamexa Taqueria

Serving up traditional and authentic dishes, this family-run restaurant prepares everything from scratch using fresh ingredients and homemade tortillas. We suggest the seafood chimichangas, burrito bowls, street tacos, or empanadas! Add the guacamole or green salsa—it’s to die for! And it makes a perfect dollop of extra taste to your entree.

2. La Tolteca

Another great option for traditional favorites is La Tolteca. Try the chips with fresh guacamole while you choose from a variety of options. We recommend the six stuffed shrimp for an appetizer and the shrimp enchiladas, fish tacos, grilled tilapia, chilaquiles, or steak quesadilla for an entree. Top your meal with the sopapillas, flan, deep-fried ice cream, hot apple burrito, or churros.

3. Mucho Gusto

This restaurant prepares its dishes using fresh ingredients from local farm vendors. Relax in their cozy dining room while you sip on a margarita or sangria and browse the menu. Yummy seafood options include the mar y teirra, the pastelito cangrejo, or the camarones a la diabla. They also have many other options, including veggie selections. Don’t forget to ask about their daily specials! Remember, if you are consuming alcohol, please drink responsibly and don’t drink and drive.

4. Fiesta Grill

When you’re in a bit of a rush and need a quick bite, order takeout from this establishment, which provides traditional dishes at affordable prices. Try the Mahi Mahi tacos, the crab and shrimp burrito, the tipico platter Salvadoran, or the surf and turf burrito. They also offer a delivery service if you feel like relaxing in your hotel room or friends’ house. Prepare to have leftovers as they tend to serve large portions!

5. E’cho Frezco

Cooking up some pretty phenomenal platters with a smile, E’cho Frezco’s is a nice little joint for filling, tasty food. We suggest the tacos al asado with chicken, the spicy ribeye ranchero, the chori chicken, or the loco burria with pork. Their steamed veggies are fresh and flavorful and one of our favorites. The chefs are attentive to special requests, so don’t be afraid to ask. And if you love spice, just let your server know! (Don’t worry—you can have it tame if you prefer)!
